Jenna has always loved a great story. She started her career as a magazine journalist journalist in college, and authored her first book a few years after graduation. In 2018, Jenna was offered a role at a startup, which shifted her perspective on the evolving landscape of publishing and how she could best tell a story. With an entrepreneurial streak, she became instantly hooked on Silicon Valley and the narratives she discovered at the ground floor of innovation.

As Director of Content, Jenna is responsible for capturing the team’s ideas with a creative and intentional lens. Whether through a research paper, newsletter, opinion piece or tweet storm, she enjoys playing with different mediums in an effort to shepherd the Forerunner brand and provide insightful content for the firm’s portfolio. 

Prior to Forerunner, Jenna served as a communications and content consultant for VCs and startups. Before that, she was a prolific freelance journalist. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, Fortune, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, and Yahoo, among others. Her first book, The Love Gap, was released by Grand Central Publishing in 2018, and she graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in English and Creative Writing in 2014.
