Why We Invested:
Months from launch, Coulter pitched us a business at the crux of consumption trends inside and outside the home: category share in the DIY lawn and garden retail market is up for grabs as Millennials buy their first homes and take an interest in plants and lawn care, and gravitate towards cleaner products for themselves, their families, and their pets. Meanwhile, the current shopping experience at Home Depot and Lowe’s is ripe for re-imagination, with traditional brands like RoundUp and Scott’s lining the shelves--despite mounting concerns about safety. Sunday as an answer to the one size fits all, toxic, mass-produced lawn care treatments on the market.
